2014 FAMILY FRIENDS OF SCOUTING

Leaders, would you like free rank advancement patches for your Pack, Troop, or Crew until February 28, 2015?

 

HERE’S HOW:

If you participate in the Family Friends of Scouting program with district assistance and achieve your unit goal or participation goal, you can receive free rank advancement patches until February 28, 2015.  This includes Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light for the Cub Scout program.  Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life and Eagle for the Boy Scout program.  And for the Venturing program:  Gold, Bronze and Silver Awards.

UNIT GOAL:

Families in your Unit on December 31, 2013 x.17 x $125 = GOAL

                                                        -  OR  -

PARTICIPATION GOAL:

Receive a Friends of Scouting gift from 35% of families in your Unit registered on December 31, 2013.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Families are defined as youth members at re-charter (i.e.:  a Pack with 52 boys at re-charter would have 52 families).  In the instance of brothers from the same family, 2 or more youth from the same family count as 1 family.
  • The cost of delivering the Scouting program in 2014 is $125 per youth.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS FAMILY FOS INCENTIVE IS:

  • To recognize Units for their FOS achievement through free rank advancement.
  • Motivate families to support 17% of the cost of delivering Scouting to youth and/or to increase the number of families participating in FOS to 35%.
